Celebration of LifeJerry ThornhillSunrise: September 8th, 1957 Sunset: February 2nd, 2011 Jerry Thornhill was born the 8th child of Clarence and Georgianna Thornhill. His parents preceded him in death, and also three siblings, Clarence Jr., James Russell, and Sharon Lee. Jerry was educated in the Webster Groves Public School District. Jerry also served in the United States Army at a young age. He loved to say that he was a Vietnam Veteran. Jerry met and fell in love with the love of his life, Yvette Thornhill and to this union two children were born, Sheron and Jerron "Boomer" Thornhill. Jerry also had two stepchildren that he loved dearly, Dearest and Antonio "Mo-Mo". Jerry worked a variety of jobs and he made a great impact on the people that he came in contact with. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He had a personality out of this world and could definitely capture your attention during the midst of a conversation. Jerry also founded the small business called "Help Me Help Myself, Inc." This enabled Jerry to get into many doors as well as his outgoing personality. Those who had an opportunity to know Jerry will truly miss him, especially those of us who were very close to him. Jerry accepted Christ in life and was baptized at New Covenant Full Gospel Church under the care of Rev. Roy McGown who was not only his pastor, but also his brother-in-law, and also one of his best friends. Jerry departed this life on February 2nd, 2011 and went to his eternal home. We are going to miss you Uncle, Brother, Friend ... Jerry left behind four sisters, Pricilla (Hugh) Macadoo, Karla (Rev. Roy) McGown, Anita (Jerry) Macadoo, and Margeret "Poochie" Thornhill; 2 aunts, 4 uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, of course.
