Life ReflectionsJennie Bell (Ingram) Baker was born on September 3rd, 1931 to Sampson and Martha Ingram in Senatobia, MS.She was the second of five children that was born to this union. When Jennie was three, the family relocated to thetightly knit community of Webster Groves, MO. Jennie could be described as a responsible young lady even as a child; often providing help with her younger siblings and working after school as a nurse's aide. She attended school in the Webster Groves school district, graduating from Douglass High in 1950Jennie accepted Christ at a young age and lived a life of service to other's from that day forward. She was unitedin holy matrimony to Lenell Baker, Sr. in 1954 and they were blessed to raise four children; Christopher, Lenell, Jr.,Carolyn and Kimberly. Jennie provided more than forty years of service in the field of nursing at various hospitalsin her community, which included Missouri Baptist, Homer G. Phillips and St. Louis County Hospital. Her loving andcaring personality allowed her to be successful in that profession until she changed careers and began working as asupervisor for Business Centers (a small call center in Creve Coeur, MO.) Jennie worked in this position for nearlytwenty years until her retirement in 1995. She was a diligent and dedicated employee who was always highly re-spected by her peers and everyone she served.Jennie's family will remember her as a loving matriarch who always made everyone feel welcomed in her presence. She was a genuine and warm-hearted woman who was a great listener and could turn any situation into one of goodhumor. She cherished her family with all her heart and made sure that everyone she encountered felt her love in every-thing she did. She truly had a soft spot for all of the children in the family. She was the type of grandmother that couldbe found cheering the loudest at ball games and took pride in preparing her loved ones favorite meals. Jennie was hap-piest when surrounded by the ones she loved, playing bid whist or even visiting the casino for crab legs and recreation.She was well known amongst family and friends for her "fall off the bone" ribs and one of a kind barbecue sauce andwould gladly prepare them when asked.Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Sampson and Martha Ingram and oldest brother, John Frank Ingram. Sheleaves to cherish her memory: her husband for 61 years Lenell Baker, Sr.; her children, Christopher Ingram (Teresa), Lenell Baker, Jr., Carolyn Conley (Willie) and Kimberly Baker; her siblings: James Ingram (Ruth), Dorothy Byrd (Herbert),Josephine Hayes (George) and Barbara Ingram (surviving spouse of John Frank Ingram); her grandchildren, Anthony,Michael, Alexis, Christy, Carolyn, Christopher, Jr., Anna, Cassandra, Terri and Kenny. She will also be greatly missed by her 13 great Grandchildren as well as a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.Interment:Tuesday, May 26, 2015J.B.
