Jean Audrey Howard

Jean Audrey Howard was born in St. Louis County, Missouri on June 27, 1931 to the late Randell and Clara (Lewis) Howard. She was the third of four children and was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Rodman and Kenneth. She graduated from Sumner High School and went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in teaching from Harris-Stowe College. Jean was employed by and retired from the United States Postal Service. Jean confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Musick Baptist Church. She was a devoted member and served as church clerk for many years. She had a love for crafts and loaned her talents to many at activities or special events. Throughout her life, Jean demonstrated her gift as caregiver and cared for numerous family and friends. On Wednesday, June 2,2010 at approximately 3:00 a.m., Jean peacefully departed this life at DePaul Health Center. She leaves to cherish her memory: her sister. Patsy Jefferson (Stone Mountain. GA); sister-in-law, Yvonne Barnes; seven nieces, Denise Culton, Carmen Grimes, Kim Simmons, Patrice Searcy (Shreveport, LA), Gwyn (Larry) Maclin (Marietta, GA), Jean Howard, and Sharon Howard; two nephews, Rodman Jr. (Carol) Howard (Portland. OR), and Christopher Jefferson (New York, NY); eight great nieces and nephews, Nicole Howard, Erica Searcy, Charles Culton, Jenelle Searcy, Larry Culton, Jennifer and Ashley Maclin, and Kenneth II and Kjana Simmons; four great-great nieces and nephews. Olivia, Isabella. Hynn, and Kaleb; as well as a host of cousins and friends. - Interment - Musick Baptist Church Cemetery 790 Fee Fee Road .
