The Obituary Ms. Imogene Hawkins was born on Tuesday, March 3, 1942 to the union if Marie and Will Harry "Buck" in Saint Louis Missouri where she spent most if her life. She attended Lincoln Elementary and Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School. Know as "Cookie" tofamily and childhood friends, and as "Nana" to grandchildren and others, she was aJaitliful mom, daughter, sister and friend. Work was an important element ifNana's life. So much so, that she retired from Barnes Jewish Hospital in 2012' only to return cifter a briif time bifore herfinal retirement in 2013. She worked Jor Barnes a total if Jorty yearsfrom 1973 - 2013. Nana rededicated her life to the Lord bifore succumbing to a serious illness during February 2014. After a hard fought battle, she was called to eternal rest, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 while hospitalized at Barnes [ewisl: Hospital among her biological and work Jamily. Nana leaves to cherish her lovitiq memory: devoted children: Tony Uohnnie Mae) 'Willis; Andrew Elgin; Michael (Yvette) Elgin; and Angela Edwards.. Siblings: Hattie Hamilton; Dorothy Woodley; James Harry; and Roscoe Harry, Six grandchildren, Seven weat grandchildren, a host if nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
