Obituary Howard Alton, Jr. was born on May 25, 1933 in St. Louis,Missouri to the union of Howard Alton, Sr. and Lenora Dodson Alton. He was the youngest of three children. His mother, father, wife, significant other and one sister preceded him in death. Howard received his education through the Richmond Heights and Brentwood School Districts. He retired from the State of Missouri as an Industrial Maintenance Technician. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He moved to Fulton, Missouri in early 1970 and there he joined Calvary Baptist Church under the l~adership of Rev. William Butler, Jr., pastor. Howard loved his church and was a very dedicated member. Howard sang in the choir and loved to usher. When Howard moved back to St. Louis, he later joined Noah's Ark Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Bernard Brown. Howard was a faithful member until his health failed him. In 1952 Howard Alton, Jr. met Bonne Jean Lucas and they formed a loving relationship for 15 years. Out of this relationship, five children were born. Later he moved to Fulton, Missouri where he met and married Beatrice Scott in 1972. On Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 10:05 P.M., Howard departed this life at Christian Northeast Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory: five children, Rose Toliver of Dallas, TX, Margaret Washington of Milwaukee, WI, Charlean Lucas, Monica Lucas and Gary Lucas all of St. Louis, MO; four sisters-in-law; one sister, Lois Steen of Chicago, IL; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-greatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Interment:Oak Grove Cemetery .
