Herman Williams

Life ReflectionHerman Williams was born on January 8, 1952 in St. Louis, MO to the union of Johnnie and Nettie Williams. He attended and graduated from Vachon High School in St. Louis, MO and then attended Blackburn College in Illinois. He was baptized at the age of 12 at True Light Baptist Church located in downtown St. Louis, MO. He enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard shortly after high school and served for four years. He then became employed with Chrysler United Auto Workers (U.A.W.) at the South Plant. There he made many friends and long lasting relation-ships as he retired after working 23 years. Herman was known for his giving heart and loved his mother. he made sure she had the necessary financing for whatever she needed. he oftentimes was the angel in the middle of the night dropping off money that he placed in her mailbox. He often said, "Momma, I am supposed to take care of you!" Ills giving heart extended to numerous family members as well as to others. for numerous years, he donated toys to the unfortunate, fed the hungry at homeless shelters and gave to Goodwill. He left this home on earth on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at approximately 3:00 a.m. His father, Johnnie Williams, stepfather, Raymond Edge, brothers, Lee, James and Carey along with his sister, Gale preceded him in death. he leaves to cherish loving memories of him: a beloved mother, Mrs. Nettie Edge; one son, Herman Jr.; two grand-children; two brothers, Johnnie and Richard Williams; two sisters, Lajuana Ware and Sandra Neely; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
