ObituaryLife ReflectionsHenry Howard, Sr. was born to the union of Henry and Katie Howard in Lake Providence, Louisiana on October 16, 1920. He was the eighth of nine children. It was in Lake Providence that Henry met Annie Lue and they later moved to St. Louis, where they were married in 1959. Here in S1. Louis they settled in the City of Kinloch where Henry was a "Jack-of-all-trades". He owned his own gas station, was an Alderman for the City of Kinloch-and he also was a mechanic for the City of Kinloch Police Department. He retired from A.O. Smith Corporation in Granite City, Illinois. Henry served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant from October 1942 thru November 1945 and fought in WWII in Iwo Jima, thereafter being honorable discharged. Henry accepted Christ as his Savior in the Summer of 1999. Henry's earthly journey ended on Thursday, July 10, 2008. He leaves to cherish his memory: A loving wife Annie Lue Howard; Sons: Larry Howard, Eddie Howard (Stephania), Kevin Howard, David Howard (Diane), (Stanley and Henry Howard, Jr. preceded him in death); Daughters: Barbara Anthony (Darryl), Aretha Howard, Tandra Brooks (Eugene), Ann McCrary (Stephen), (Katie Howard and Mary Cole preceded him in death); His parents, three brothers and five sisters preceded him in death; He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
