Celebrating the Life and Love of Henrietta Laura Tatum Killable Henrietta was born on July 11, 1923 to the late Jodi Thompson and Odessa Thompson. She was born in Maiden, Missouri then moved to St. Louis, Missouri at a young age. She attended James Milton Turner School in Meacham Park. Henrietta gave her life to Christ al an early age where she was baptized at St. Mary's Church, then became a member at full Gospel Church under the leadership of Pastor Roy McCown. Henrietta was a pillar of her community and an avid cook for over 60 years in the Kirkwood Meacham Park proximity. She utilized her knowledge by changing the form of her family's ice cream parlor into a restaurant better known in the community as (Fluky Lukes) doing what she loved, cooking from beans to burgers. Henrietta was employed at Ozark Park Plaza Motel, as supervisor over the housekeeping department, at the Green Parrott Inn as the head chicken fryer and Po folks' restaurant making completely from scratch her buttery, soft homemade biscuits. She was an influential member as a mother of her church, an usher and a choir member. She loved engaging in most of the out-of-town bus trips, supporting and encouraging the youths in meaningful ways. Those we love don't go away... They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, missed and very dear. Henrieitta was preceded in death by her father, Jodi Thompson, mother, Odessa Thompson, husband, Anderson Kimble, two sons, James (Jimmy) Jackson and Joel Jackson, one brother, Odis Emerson and grandson, Joseph Long (aka Bam Bam). Henrietta leaves to cherish her precious memories: Alfred (Syl) Jackson, Patricia (Pat) Ward, Elestta (Buddie) Tatum Jr., Joyce Coleman, Valerie Jones and Edythe Richey; Brenda (Susie) Fields whom she raised and adored as her own; two stepsons, Michael and Lawrence Kimble; one stepdaughter, Katherine Kimble; one sister, Bettie Phillips; one stepsister, Beatrice (Bea) Love; one stepbrother, Robert (Baby Lee) Love; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, two nieces, a host of cousins and friends. Henrietta was a loving and compassionate person accept-ing and loving others as her family: Charles Mosley, Robert Patterson, Teresa (Lisa) Whitfield and Adele Carey. Laurel Hill Cemetery 2000 N.
