Helen Berniece Cooper

Helen Berniece Cooper , was born on Wednesday, September 30th, 1925

in Memphis, TN to Mary and Clarence. Helen was an only child who confessed

Christ at an early age at Old Community Baptist Church in Webster Groves, MO.

Helen attended Corn Elementary School in Somerville, TN where she later con-

tinued her education at Douglass High School.

She was united in Holy matrimony to John Cooper who preceded her in death.

Helen had two children, Mary Louise (who preceded her in death) and Clarence Cooper.

Helen was her given name but to all she went by " Mom Boots ." " Mom Boots " loved

to travel to see her grandmother Mary in Somerville, TN. When not traveling "Mom Boots"

enjoyed spending time with her friends at one of her favorite spots "Rainbow" in Webster

Groves. When you saw her bright smile you knew her best friend Bessie Sheppard wasn't

far behind her.

" Mom Boots " worked as a housekeeping Supervisor at Holiday Inn, and I tell you if you

couldn't make a bed she'd definitely let you know. She also worked on the line at a Wire

Company and once she left, she was greatly missed by all of her co-workers.

" Mom Boots " leaves to mourn her passing: her loving son Clarence N. Cooper, 9 grand-

children (1 preceded her in death), 12 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren,

sisters-in-law, Cousins, extended family and her special friend Forest Douglas.
