Life ReflectionsNattie Blake was born March 26, 1934 to John Wesley Roberts, Sr. and Mayo Roberts. She departed this life March 14,2012 at 8:30 A.M. with family by her side. rter mother, father, five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Nattie graduated from Douglas Nigh School in 1952 and the Ruth Flower Institution of Cosmetology in 1960. She was co-owner of a successful beauty shop, Nair Gallery. For many years, Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church was an important part of her life. She surrendered her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. J.E. f'idmount. Nattie Mae Roberts and Charles Jackson Blake were married on March 30, 1958. Three children, Todd Paul, Angela Renae, and Nope Lynn were born to this union. Nattie always loved spending time with her family and friends. Prior to her illness, she enjoyed bowling, cooking shows, tinkering with Weight Watchers, and ordering clothes and gadgets never to be used. Nattie leaves to mourn her passing: Charles Blake, husband of nearly 54 years; one son, Todd (Deanna) Blake; two daughters, Angela (Ernest) Banks and Nope (Redditt) rludson: one sister, Peggy Bishop; one brother, Charles Mosby of California; ten grandchildren, Tiffany (Blake) of California, Farrell (Blake) of Indiana, Tamar Blake, Tiffany Nashville, Jarret Banks, Jordan Banks, Justin Lee, Elizabeth Ejigu of Arizona, Lauryn Iludson. and Faith fludson. three great-grandchildren, Courtney and Courtland Turner of California and Gazelle Blake of Indiana; a mother-in-law, Virginia Blake (100 years of age); four sisters-in-law, Effie (Curtis, deceased) Roberts, Betty (Wilman, deceased) Roberts, Clara (Leonard, deceased) Roberts and Mary (William, deceased) Blake; one brother-in-law, Charles Sanders; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. One Day at a Time You lived your life one day at a time. The words you shared were always kind. You loved us all with your whole heart. It saddens us to be apart, and forever we hold you in our hearts. Today you stand in God's bright light. Watching over us day and night. In our hearts you will remain. Until the day we meet again ... Forever Your love will live on in our hearts and the hearts of those you touched. We are so grateful to God for blessing our lives with the beautiful gift of you.
