Life Reflection

Harold Hackett was born on January 24, 1938, in Arkansas. He was the oldest son of Willie and Lucy Hackett. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. His parents and one sister preceded him in death.

He was educated in the St. Louis Public School System and graduated from Sumner high School in 1956. After graduation Harold began his career in the United States Army, where he attained the rank of ELI. After his military service, Harold continued his career in the Aerospace Industry when he retired in 1992.

Harold joined in holy matrimony with Lorrene Rucker where they shared their life together in Ontario, California and remainded married for over 30 years, until his passing.

Harold was an active member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Ontario California where he sang in the Menis Chorus. In 1999, he was ordained as Deacon at Community Baptist Church where he served in multiple ministries. Another great joy of his was mentoring children at the Edison Academy Elementary School, where he held the position as a crossing guard.

Harold lives to cherish his memories: wife, Reverend Lorrene Hackett; four adult children, Tamara Lewis (George) of Ontario California, Tracy Cephers of Santa Clarita, California, Andrew Hackett (Nancy) of Canton, Ohio, and stepson, Keith Rucker of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Annette Rivers of St. Louis, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
