Life Reflections On May 20. 1930, Glenn Edward Shepperd was born. He was the fifth ofseven children and the only son of John Edward Shepperd and Gertrude MarySweezer. Petey, as he became known, attended Douglass School. While not a model student, he was always very popular...especially with the girls. Petey joined the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. After his tour there,he was Honorably Discharged. Glen was a lifelong member of AmVets Post 69. After several unsuccessful relationship trials, Glenn married Aletha Harrisin July of 1963. They remained happily married for almost 52 years, until hisdeath. In 1991, Petey retired after many years with Kirkwood R-7 SchoolDistrict. On Saturday, June 27, 2015, Petey moved to a new neighborhood. Hisfamily was waiting for him there. His mother and father, and his three oldersisters, Bunny, Pidgie and Dolly. Glen will be sorely missed by his devoted wife, Aletha; his loving daughters,Ouida, Charlotte and Glynis and his son Tracey; his grandchildren, great-grand-children and soon to be great-great-grandchildren; his beloved sisters, Tulie,Mamie (Dee) and Mary Lee; his aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins andmany, many friends. .
