Life Reflections Mrs. Gladys Sue Jackson was born April 19, 1931 to Lucille Cooper and Allen Jackson in Fort Necessity, Louisiana. She was the only child born to this union. Gladys' parents, her children Gloria and Henry Allen and her siblings 3 brothers Elvis, General Jr. and Charlie, her five sisters Carrie Mae, Mildred, Joanie, Lucille and Elcille preceded her in death. Gladys was educated in the Franklin Parish Louisiana School District. Gladys was united in Holy Matrimony to Woodrow Wilson in 1947 in Louisiana. To this union one child was born. Gladys came to St. Louis, NO in 1948 where she met Henry L. Huey. They were married November 18, 1949. To this union five children were born. Gladys was united in Holy Matrimony in April 1971 to Edger Cason, and they were married until his death on November 15, 2015. Gladys confessed to Christ at an early age at Morning Star Church in Fort Necessity, Louisiana. Gladys joined Metropolitan Baptist Church in October 1991, the late Reverend Charles Hampton was the Pastor then, now under the leadership of Reverend Cory Scott. Gladys was a faithful member until she became ill. Gladys was on the Mothers' Board at church, everyone loved Mother Cason. Gladys was a very kind person, with a big heart, always giving. She would give the shirt off of her back. Always trying to help others, family, friends and even people she didn't know. Gladys loved to cook and bake and always had beautiful gardens, vegetable and flowers. When she was younger she could sew real good and made clothes, she could decorate and draw too. Gladys worked until she was 75 years old, then retired from Housekeeping. She was always a classy lady, always very neatly and nicely dressed. Gladys transitioned on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Missouri Baptist Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Shirlene Stegall, Cora Janice Nooks; her sons, Walter B., Antonio and Waiter E.: Grandson, Israel; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grand-children, 4 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Emma Brothers, and Annie Mae Wright; and one brother, McArthur Johnson: and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, a special friend, Mrs. Vinnie Scoggins.
