Life ReflectionsGerald Oliver Rue Sr. was born on February 17, 1933 in Webster Groves, Missouri to the loving parents of Robert W. Rue and Geraldine Sheppard Rue. Gerald was blessed with two sisters, Wilma Claxton-Rue and Rosemary Brownlee, and one brother, Robert W. Rue Jr. His parents, siblings and sons, Gerald Rue Jr. and Curtis Williams Jr. all preceded him in death. Gerald (aka "Babel/-Rue) and Emma settled down and lived in Kirkwood for over 50 years. He accepted Christ at an early age. Gerald Rue played an active role in the United States Army serving in Korea, U.S. Army Reserves, Missouri National Guard and a member of the American Legion. Gerald worked for the u.s. Army Corp of Engineers performing inspections for construction for 20 years. Rue received certificates of recommendations from the United States President and Congress. He then served four years with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) participating in the help of Hurricane Andrew in 1992 in Florida and the St. Louis flood of 1993. Gerald also worked for Mosley Construction, Inc. In 2011, Gerald completed a computer class at Lindbergh High School. He was also an exceptional Baratone singer. Gerald leaves to cherish 'his memories, wife, Emma Lou Rue; children, Lorraine Williams (Preston), Diann Rue Chapman (Craig), Philip Williams (Pamela), Patricia Mosley (Kenneth), Robert Williams, Wilma Williams, Pamela Rue
