Life Reflections Georgetta Vaughn, affectionately known as "Snib" was the third daughter of nine children, bornJuly 19, 1935 to the union of George and Louise (Davis) Martin. Both of her parents and four sisters, Malile, Lois, Sally and Gwendolyn preceded her in death. Georgetta grew up in the Richmond Heights community and received her formal education from Douglas High School, Webster Groves, MO. She attended the family church, First Church of God, Richmond Heights where she accepted Christ as salvation as a young lady, and remained a lifetime member. The Martin family was an intricate part of the Richmond Heights community; Snib and her sisters were known as "The Martin Girls." Her family was and is one of the oldest families within the community and the First Church of God. She participated in many church functions and served on various auxiliaries during her tenure. She remained faithful until her health began to fail and she was no longer able to come on a regular basis. When she was able to attend she could be found sitt-ing in the area of the sanctuary, on the row that was dedicated to her and her sisters, known as "Sisters Row."This is where she and her sisters would be seated during services. She was joined in, holy matrimony to Ronald Morrison, who preceded her in death, and to this union one son, Ronald Morrison, was born. Later in life, she met and married Mr. Robert Vaughn who also preceded her in death and from their union, a son, Brent Vaughn was born. Georgetta began her career at Emerson Electric and remained a dedicated employee until her retirement. After retiring she would often visit with her siblings and could be found enjoying the deep connected bond between her and her sisters. She was a fun-loving individual with a gentle and sweet. spirit. On Monday, November 23, 2020, her Lord and Savior gently whispered "Peace Be Still" and she bid farewell to this world, joined her loved ones and others and became a part of the "Great Cloud of Witnesses." She leaves to celebrate her life and mourn her passing: two sons, Ronald Morrison, III, Brent Vaughn (Savonna Stacy), two granddaughters, Ceaira Vaughn and Khayla Vaughn, five great-grand-children, one sister, Audrey "Cookie" Lindsey, three brothers, Melvin (Sylvia) Martin, Joseph Martin and Steven (Peggy) Martin. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Interment: St. Peters Cemetery2101 Lucas Hunt RoadSt. Louis, MO 63121 .
