Life Reflections George Ronald Hayes was born on April 22, 1945 to the union of Jefferson and Teola Hayes.He was the sixth of nine children born to this union. Ronnie was preceded in death by both parents, a sister, Mary Ann Parker, a grandchild, Taylor Joi Jennings. Ronnie, as he was affectionately called by his family and close friends, professed a hope in Christ at an early age.Ronnie graduated from Berkeley Senior High School. He then attended Ranken Technical College, where he received his certification in HVAC. While working for many years at Moog and Chrysler, Ronnie also opened, owned and operated his own business, George Hayes Heating & Cooling. He provided exceptional heating and 7 cooling services to customers for over 50 years. Ronnie was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War.Ronnie was a member of the Continental Social Club. He was also a member of a traveling Bid Whist Club. Ronnie met and later married Josephine Ingram on July 11, 1973. They were the parents of two daughters, Regina and Natalie, whom Ronnie would affectionately refer to as, "My Thug Girls!" Ronnie loved to bowl, bar-b-que, and he enjoyed celebrating and traveling with his family.Ronnie departed this life on Thursday, April 25, 2019. He leaves to cherish his fond memories: his devoted wife of 45 years, Josephine: two daughters, Regina (Kathon) Jennings and Natalie Hayes; eight grand-children: Kenneth (Amber) Simpson, Bruce Tillman, Charles and Jacqueline Lambert, Leila Hayes (Suga Buga), Kelly Cooper, Kasha Penny and Kathon Jennings, Jr,; four great grand-children; six sisters: Earlene Wilson, Gertrude Peebles, Marilyn Brewer, Linda Hughes, Vivian Hayes, and Patricia (David) Hubbard; one brother: Jeff Hayes; , a brother-in-law, Lena Baker, Sr. two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Herbert) Byrd and Ruth Ingram; a niece, who was more like a daughter, Amy Parker-Stayton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
