Gene grew up in Berkeley, Missouri where he graduated from Berkeley Nigh School in 1982. Gene was very well known.Gene enjoyed fishing, boxing, exercising, and being with family and friends. Gene came to know Christ at an early age, but later converted to the Islamic faith. He leaves to cherish his memories: his five children, Derrick, Regina, Laquita, Tangela, and Andre; and 1 granddaughter, Tamyra; three brothers, Richard Kilgore, Wayne Sutton, and Tyrone Sutton (Vanesa); three sisters, Sherry Kilgore, Linda Sutton and Lisa Sutton; 1 brother, Dana Sutton; 2 sisters, Monica Sutton and Vickie Sutton; 2 brothers-in-law, Darryl Williams and Rufus Poplar; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
