Life Reflections
FREDDIE JAMES DONNELL, JR. was born October 20, 1961 to Freddie J. Donnell, Sr. and Bernice Delores Marie (Hellems) Donnell.
Freddie was educated in the Brooklyn Public School System where he graduated from Rothchild High School.
Freddie was VERY intelligent, he could read, write and translate Mandrian Chinese! He had a huge vocabulary and was an avid reader. He was a great conversationalist who could talk to anyone about anything. Freddie loved learning, traveling and meeting people. Even with that intelligence, he was very much a regular guy. He loved hanging out with friends and family, listening and dancing to good soul music. He had a great sense of humor and loved to entertain people with his quick wit and comical observations. Freddie was a very generous man who would give you the shirt off his back, even as he lived very simply. His Mom taught him to cook, make a meal and survive, in that order. He was a great handyman who was actually in love with his tools. This love and skill allowed him to live independently. He didn't stay still and you see that in the few pictures of him. He was on the move. His pictures show the side view or movement away from the stop action of a photo-graph.
Freddie passed away on April 10, 2023. Preceding him in death were his parents, Freddie Sr. and Bernice Burgess and his grandparents.
Freddie leaves cherished memories with his sibling: Kelley (Otis) Rice, Kris Burgess, and Clarence (Kathy) Burgess; nieces: Sarah (Mark) Finkley, Desiree, Octavia, Clarence Jr., Clarence III; nephews: Andre', Kenneth (Marya) Rice; his great nephew, Anton and great nieces, Shayonna and Makayla, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins extended family and friends.
