Life Reflections

Francis William Hill Sr. was born on May 17, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Daniel and Lee Anna Hill.

He was affectionately called "Brother" to close family and friends.   Francis grew up in Kirkwood, Missouri with

his parents and his brother Daniel, all of whom have preceded him in death.  Francis attended Booker T. Washington and Jaes Milton Turner Schools in Kirkwood.  Francis accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Unity M.B. Church in Kirkwood.

Francis was inducted into the United States Navy in October 1943 and served his country during World War II.

Francis began dating Willa Lee Thomas in 1947 and they were united in holy matrimony on October 13, 1951.  To this union seven children were born; Francis, Jr. (who preceded him in death), Mark, Anthony, Christopher, Renee, Beverly and Jeffery.  His beloved wife of 62 years preceded him in death.

Francis loved his family deeply and enjoyed sharing stories about his many life experiences and he would always have a piece of advice to pass along.

Francis leaves to cherish his loving memory:  his children Mark, Anthony (Robin), Christopher, Renee, Beverly, Jeffery, Thomas Boyd and Wendell Boyd; daughter-in-law, Cynthia (Francis, Jr.), Sister-in-law, Martha McFerren, twenty-five grandchildren, over forty great-grandchildren; and a host of loving and wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
