Life Reflections Frances Louise Shields-Blair entered this world on April 23, 1943 in Plains Dealings, Louisiana to James and Fannie Shields both of whom preceded her in death. She was the 13th of 16 children. Frances gave her life to the Lord in the year 1968. She sang in the choir along with per-forming other functions in the church. One of her greatest joys was singing in the quartet with her sister and the Barry Singers. Mother Blair was a true God fearing woman with such a humble spirit. Her loving, sweet and kind demeanor will always remain in our memories. She was so happy even during her sickness.Frances married her sweetheart, the late Mr. Chester Lee Blair, Sr. on November 28, 1968, and to this union, seven children were born. Chester Blair Jr., Oliver (Tonya) Blair, Darlean McNeal, Kristover (Stephanie), Blair, Matthew Blair, Lillian Blair and Teretha.Blair. She was blessed with twenty-one grandchildren and two great grandchildren all whom love and will miss her dearly. Frances leaves to cherish her love and memories, her children, grandchildren, great grand- children; one loving sister of St. Louis, Ora (Paul) Barry; two loving brothers, George (Codella) Shields of Dumas, AR, Floyd (Theresa) Shields of Charleston, NC., a sister-in-law, Jessie Shields of Ponca City, Oklahoma, an aunt, Esther Simpkins of Dumas, Arkansas, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, etc..., cousins, friends.
