Frances Allen

Life Reflections Frances Georgean White was born in St. Louis, HO on July 8, 1954 to the late Dorris O. White. Her husband, Harvey Allen Sr. and older brother, Bruce Alcorn preceded her in transition. Frances professed her faith in Christ while a member of Greater True Vine Miracle Temple. Frances was a 1972 graduate of Charles Sumner High School. At Sumner she was a member of the Rhythmic Dance Club. She was a touring scholar, who studied at some of Missouri's finest institutions of higher education. She began her journey at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. After studying at Lincoln, Frances furthered her journey at the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL), where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. The final stop on the educational tour landed her at Washington University's GWB School of Social Work. It was there Frances earned her Master of Social Work degree. In 2017, after 35 years of dedicated service to the field of Social Work, Frances retired as a Licensed Clinical Supervisor from BJC Behavioral Health. Frances and Harvey Allen married September 27, 1980. Their union produced two outstanding children, Harvey Edison Jr. and Stephanie LaVenia. Frances delighted in the splendor of her children and husband. Frances adored her grandsons Harvey and Hendrix who had her wrapped around their fingers. Frances loved the role of leader and understood how to nurture the hearts of people. Frances was a humanitarian who enjoyed helping others through giving, mentoring, transporting, shopping, cooking and laughter. Some would say Frances missed her call as a comedian. Frances was a life enthusiast who enjoyed the Caribbean Islands, country music, and being the First Mother of Rev. Stephanie Allen. Frances became a member of St. John A.M.E. Church in the 1980's. She served as a faithful member and officer of the church. Frances was on a mission to become "volunteer of the year" until the time of her transition. On December 27, 2018, in the comfort of her home, Frances Georgean "The Rockstar" Allen entered the realm of perfect peace. She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved son, Harvey Jr. (Tiffani); her devoted daughter Stephanie LaVenia; her "heart beats", her grandsons, Harvey Edison III and Hendrix James; her grandpup Louis Augustine "Auggie"; her sisters, Sharon (Austin) and Christie (Rashad), her brothers Robert (Carolyn), Eric; sister-in-law LaVenia; brother-in-laws Willis (Gloria), Anthony (Adrienne); spiritual daughter Jace'Karmon; nieces and nephews along with a host of devoted friends, colleagues, church members and other beloved relatives who shall miss her deeply.
