Florine Jones

Life ReflectionObituaryFlorine (Flo) Jones was born in St. Louis, MO on October 31, 1958. She was the fifth of nine children born to Louise Snell. Flo graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1977. She went on to attend Meramec Community College and Sanford Brown. Flo was united in holy matrimony to Darryl Jones, Sr. on January 22, 1987. To this union two children were born, Kina and Darryl whom she loved very much. She was employed at Webster I1igh School through Chatwell Food Service. She loved her work because she was a great cook. Through this service, they were intending to send her to Culinary School to become a chef. Throughout her life she was a member of New Covenant Full Gospel Church under the le~dership of Pastor Roy McGowan, then later rededicated her life to Christ at Faith Church St. Louis under the leadership of Pastor David Crank, Jr. She attended faithfully until she was called home to be with the Lord. During the course of her illness she never complained about her pain (she'd say "it's alright") She kept the faith. She was loved deeply by all who knew her and will truly be missed. She leaves to cherish precious memories: her mother, Louise Snell (John) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one daughter, Kina f1urst (Vance Williams); one son, Darryl Jones, Jr.; 2 grandsons, Tabyus and Jaiden; mother-in-law, Paulette Jones; 5 sisters, Ann Chambers (Lawrence), Lena Smith (Lamont), Margaret Graham (Gregory) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Lisa Robinson (Ryan) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Linda Griffin (Adrian) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 3 brothers, Eugene f1urst (Marcia), Bennie f1urst (Denise), and Tommy f1urst of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six aunts, three uncles; nieces, Tanisha Chambers (NeNe), Jasmine f1urst (Jazz), Monecia f1urst, LaPorsh,a Robinson, Tasha Robinson, Shamia Tindle (Boo), Alfie Whitaker, Mia f1urst, Ameka f1urst, and Kayteria f1urst (Kay); nephews, Jeffrey Chambers (Jeff), Brandon f1urst, Michael f1urst (Mike), Delfon f1urst, Daniel Smith, Wayne Smith, Benya f1urst, Jamar f1urst, Demarius f1urst (Mr. Boo), Cortez King, and Jermery King; cousins and friends.
