Felicia Monique Tompkins-Swapshire was born June 30, 1962 to the union of Mary Alice Tompkins and W.T. Tompkins. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Swapshire, mother Nary Alice Tompkins, father W.T. Tompkins, 4 brothers Patrick Tompkins, Eddie Lee Tompkins, Kurt Tompkins and T. Tompkins.
Felicia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an young age and was baptized by the late Reverend Sims at Union Paradise Missionary Baptist Church.
Felicia
loved her family, and they loved her with all their heart. She enjoyed phone conversations with her aunts. She also loved her fur babies: Lyric, Diamond and Buddy.
Felicia has so much joy in babysitting family members and friends' children as if they were her own. She spent a lot of time with family up until she was no longer able to get out as much. Felicia loved to laugh, laugh, laugh, and laughed at anything she felt was so funny.
She graduated from University City High School and then decided to continue her education with St. Louis Job Corp where she received her certification as a Nurses Aid (CNA). She worked a number of years in Nome Health and later worked in Hospitality where she met Carl Swapshire her late husband.
On Saturday October 8, 2022, she gained her wings. Felecia leaves behind Co cherish her memories: her dear friend Danny; brothers, Demetrius, Mark (Nancy), Keith (Robin), and James; sister, Carlice, step-mother Joyce Hamlin, step brothers Deaundre and Darryl, BFF; MiSheila and Michelle, god-children Candace and Brittany. And a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
