Obituary Ernestine Johnson was born on December 15, 1933 to James and Beulah Black. She was the 5th child of 6 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Agnes Mae Lucas, Clara Christina Richardson, Adell Irving and brother James Black, Jr. Earnestine was educated in the St. Louis Public Schoold System. She worked for St. John's Mercy for 27 years as a Nurse Assist- ant. Ernestine married Robert Johnson, Jr. on June 9th, 1950 and from that union they had a son Robert daniel Johnson (Danny), who preceded them in death June, 2001 and a daughter Sylvia Johnson person. Ernestin was a loving person. She wa always there for her family for whatever they needed. She had a warm smile that warmed your heart. She never complained about her pains and discomforts, she always said I'm just getting old, The love of her life were her children, grndchildren and great- grandchildren. Ernestine departed her life on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at St. John's Mercy Hospital about 4:00 p.m. She loved to travel with Robert and with her daughter and grndcdaughter. She loved cooking big meals on holidays or special occasions and spending time tith her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Robert; daughter, Sylvia and son-in-law, Reginald Person; grand- daughte Robin McCadney (Michael); grandson, Reginald (Reggie) Person, Jr.; great-grandson, Michael McCadney, Jr., and great-granddaughter, Alexis McCadney; her sister, Cleo Williams; her step-son, Charles Freeman (Margarita) and family; her nieces and nephews and their families; other relatives and a host of friends. Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 2900 Sheridan St. Louis, MO 63126 .
