Emmanuel Pierre Morris

Life Reflections Emmanuel Pierre Morris was born in St. Louis, Missouri, December 9, 1977, and was the only child born to the union of Joyce (Rhodes) Morris and Lonnie Morris. Emmanuel's father, Lonnie Morris preceded him in death. "Man" as he was lovingly called by family and friends, was a rambunctious child. He loved the water and at a very young age exhibited a natural ability to swim, even without swimming lessons. Man was raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord, attending Bostick Temple COGIC with his family. In his youth, Emmanuel regularly attended Sunday School, was a member of the junior choir and served on the Junior Ushers' Board. Man was educated in the St. Louis Pubic School System. He held various jobs in his adult life, and most recently acquired his electrician's certification. He enjoyed cooking, art and music. Throughout life's struggles, Man received unwavering love and support from his mother. That love and her prayers were a beacon of hope, shining the Light of Christ. And, over the past two years Man began calling his mother just to check in and let her know he loved her. It was during one of those calls that Emmanuel answered "Yes, I want to be saved." On June 4, 2020, with his mother prayerfully listen-ing, Man prayed the sinners prayer. Emmanuel departed this life on Sunday, November 8, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory beloved son Amir Morris, devoted mother, Joyce Morris, one sister, Renee, four aunts, Vivian Brooks (Eddie, Sr.), Alice Clark, Loyce Hamilton, and Barbara McFarland, two uncles, Charles Morris and Andrew Thompson, loving Godmother, Karen Owens, nephews, a host of cousins and friends, and a special friend, April.
