ObituaryEmmalee Hurst-Telfair was born December 25, 1925 in Wrightsville, Georgia to the late Claude and Corine Hurst. She was the first born of 9 children. Theodus Hurst, Willie Hurst, Charles Hurst, BW Hurst, her first grandson, Neal Hurst, and one son-in-law, Raphus Bibbs preceded her in death. Emma relocated to St. Louis, Missouri in 1959. Emma accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at First Baptist Church of Meachem Park. She later joined the Kinloch Church of God under the leadership of Reverend Hughie Ellison where she remained until her health failed. Emma was a devoted employee of Mitch Merchant Maintenance Management far 10 years and retired in 1990. Emma will always be remembered for her loving and contagious smile. God saw that she was becoming weary in her body and sent angels down and gave her wings on March 29, 2010 at 12:46 p.m. at St. Louis University MediEmma leaves to cherish her memory: her children: Pauline Williams, Leon Telfair, Leatha Mae Gamble (Ray).
