Life ReflectionsObituaryOn July 9, 1947, Mary and Butler WOrd welcomed the birth if thier ninth child and second daughter, Emma Alice Word in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Immediatley after graduating from Matthews High School in Southeast Missouri, she relocated to Saint Louis, Missouri. Soon after, Wmma becasne a secreary at Jewish Hosptial where she formed lifelong friends.Emma later married Eric Rodgers Mosely of St. Louis, Missouri to which three children were born to the union, Erica, Eric Alan, and Emeric Mosely. Emma had quite a green thumb and enjoyed growing and nurturing plants and flowers. She also enjoyed current events, good, heartfelt movies, knitting, reading, delicious meals, and going out for an occasional day of fishing. Emma was a friend to all who crossed her path and was always great for a good word of encouragement or a joke that left you laughing for days on end. Ner pride and joy was her family and, if you asked her, she'd say it was one of her greatest accomplishments. She did all that she could to be a faithful and loving wife, nurturing mother, and reliable friend. Above all, Emma loved her Lord and called on f1im constantly for strength, direction, and encouragement in her life.She leaves to celebrate her legacy: her husband, Eric Rodgers Mosely of St. Louis, Missouri; three children, Erica, Eric Alan, and Emeric; five brothers, George Word of Murphysboro, Illinois, Clifton Word of New Madrid, Missouri, Narvey Word of New Madrid, Missouri, Nathaniel Word of St. Louis, Missouri, and Tommy Word of New Madrid, Missouri; two sisters, Nettie Narris of St. Louis, Missouri, and Katie Irons of Decatur, Illinois; a mother-in-law, Josephine Mosely of St. Louis, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends.
