Emma M. Hurst

Life ReflectionsEmma Hurst was born October 9, 1932 in Wrightville, Georgia to Isiah and Eunice Hurst. Her parents and one brother John W. Hurst preceded her in death. She was the oldest of four children. Emma was educated at Doc Kemp Nigh School in Georgia. She professed her hope in Christ at an early age. Emma relocated to St. Louis, Missouri in 1950. She joined first Baptist Church of Meacham Park under the leadership of Reverend George Sebree. She served as an usher, on the Nurse Aid Board and also on the Kitchen Committee. Emma was employee at the Kirkwood School District. She retired after 22 years of service. Her hobbies were going to family reunions and singing in the choir. She will be remembered for her greeting of how are you "Darling?". Departing this life on Saturday, September 30th, 2017. Emma leaves to cherish her memories: I sister Ida Hurst; 1 brother, William Hurst; a host of nieces, nephews, other rela-tives and friends.
