Ellen Luvenia Hill

Life Reflections Ellen L. Hill was born February 2nd, 1929 in Saint Louis, Missouri, to Beulah Shelton and Worthington Boyd. She was raised by her grandmother, Emma Shelton and her father Worthington Boyd due to her mother's early passing. They too preceded her in death.. Her children Steven and Robert Boyd also preceded her in death. Ellen attended high school Saint Louis, Missouri. As a child she attended church with her father in Brentwood. She worked as a caregiver all or her life, providing love, guidance, and comfort, as well as being a mother to many. She opened her home to anyone that needed help and a place to stay. She was known as "Big Mama" to many. She was small but mighty.Ellen lived a full life and in her younger years she loved a good time, for example she socializ-ed with Albert King and Johnny Taylor, Just to name a few. She enjoyed cooking and feeding anyone that needed a good home cooked meal. She was still cooking at the age of 90. She also loved her TV shows and soaps, especially The Young and the Restless. Ellen leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Beverly Ingram. Antionette Jefferson, Daniel Foster, Aaron "Tank" Foster (Loretta Davis), Fiorita Foster, Emerson Foster, and Megan Gidlow.She also leaves to cherish 16 grandchildren and a host of great and great-great-grandchildren whom she had the pleasure of spending time with during her life.
