She attended school in Mayersville, Mississippi through the eighth grade. Later she moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She began doing domestic work. Elizabeth was baptized at The Old Moon Lake Church in Mayersville, Mississippi. In 1954, August 16th. she was joined in marriage to Allen Clent Johnson in St. Louis, Missouri. Elizabeth departed this life on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Bellefontaine Gardens Nursing &. Rehabilitation. She leaves behind to cherish loving memories: nieces, Theresa, Genevieve, Julia, Willie Mae, and Lorraine; two nephews, Ized and Robert; 10 great-nephews, 22 great-nieces, 14 greatgreat- nieces, 18 great-great-nephews, 14 great-great-greatnieces; specialfriend, CaterinePateandahostofcousinsand friends.
