Life Reflection Eliza Drummond Brown was born January 14, 1928 to the late Willie and Mary (Clayton) Drummond in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. She was blessed to have one brother and three sisters. Her brother, Roscal and one sister, Climenteen Cooper preceded her in death. Eliza married Charles Brown on June 1, 1947. Eliza and Charlie had two children when they moved to Kirkwood in 1951. Their family grew to five boys and four girls. Her husband and one son, Leon preceded her in death. Upon moving to Kirkwood, Eliza united with First Baptist Church of Meacham Park. Over the years, she served in many areas including the Choir, Mission, Usher Board and Kitchen Committee. Eliza was a faithful employee of the St. Agnes Home and the Kirkwood School District. She worked at Kirkwood High School and Nipher Middle School. Eliza loved to cook and fried chicken was her specialty. Gardening and shopping were also two of her favorite things to do. The Lord called Eliza home on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Rosewood Care Center. She took flight just one week after her grandson Charles Romond. Eliza's now watching over Monny and Little Colin once again. Eliza leaves to cherish her memory, eight children, Parthenia "Dottie" Brown of Atlanta, Georgia, Lee E. Brown, James A. Brown, Ann Marie Brown, Janice Jackson, Gregory T. Brown (Jacqueline) of St. Louis, Missouri, Charles E. Brown (Venise) of Naperville, Illinois and Tradell L. Miller (Kevin) of Bedford, Texas; twenty-two grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Bulard (Rudolph) and Idean Buckner; sister-in-law, Coran Johnson of Meridian, Mississippi; brother-in-law, Curtis Brown of Staten Island, New York; special friends, Earnestine Dilworth and Bea Love; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
