Life Reflections Edith Fay Hinch Cooper was born on July 2, 1920. She was the third child born to the union of Arden Hinch and Gladys Spann. Willis, Raymond, Justin, Arthur, Delphine, Robert, Leslie,Mary Ellen and Richard preceded her in death. Edith was educated in St. Louis public schools, Marshall Elementary School and Sumner HighSchool ending with her 9th grade. She received a double promotion during this time. She continued her education at Douglas High School upon her family moving to Richmond Heights, MO. Edith was united in holy matrimony on the seventh day of September in the year of our Lord 1949.William, her husband, preceded her in death on April 22, 1999. Edith lost three children, Freddie,Donald and Delores. During World War II she was employed by the Department of Defense Ammunition Plant makingbullets for the soldiers. Edith was a very much admired sales person at Stix Baer & Fuller andDillards Department Stores. Her good work was rewarded by her being named sales person of theyear. Edith had been hired as a maintenance employee, she worked her way up to supervisor over20-30 men and women, After conducting a briefing of her department, she was promoted tosalesperson in the Women's Designers Department. Edith retired after 30 years of employment. Edith is a member of Christ Lutheran Church, transferring from Lutheran Memorial. She was baptized on January 1, 1927 at St. Philips Lutheran Church. Edith leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Phyllis Cooper; grandchildren, Michael Cooper,Craig Lawrence, Cory Lawrence and Carrie Hughes (Larry); great-grandchildren, Lauryn Hughes, Kyle Cooper, Landys Hughes, Korey Lawrence, Larry Hughes, Jr., Lyric Hughes, Terrance Lawrence, Isla Lawrence and Ison Law-rence; sister-in4aw, Clarice Winch; nephews,Lawrence, William and David flinch; nieces, Edith (Edie) flinch, Vickie Craig, Wanda flinch, SheilaIsaac, and Clarissa Winch; cousin, Willene Randolph; daughter-in-law, Helen (Bug) Abrom. Edith loved her bonus grandson, Larry Hughes, Sr. who was always kind to her, treating her like a Queen and preparing great hotdogs. Edith "Nana" loved her extended family, they contributed to her long and happy life. Nana had as much love in her life as she deserved. It (love) came back to her two-fold from many extended family.
