Life's Reflections With the dawning of a new day, Earl Murray, Jr. was born on October 16, 1938 to the unionof Earl and Gertrude Murray, Sr. in Tupelo, MS. He and his family moved from Tupelo, MS to Grenada, MS prior to moving to Kinloch, MO in1946 where he received his formal education in the Kinloch School District. Because of the influence of his mother, he studied with the Jehovah Witnesses for many yearsbut prior to the end of his life he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Earl was married twice to Lottie Mae Murray where 5 children were a part of this union. Later,he met and married Margaret (who preceded him in death). Although, the two never had childrenof their own they were instrumental in raising six of Margaret's sister children and were a blessingto many other children throughout his life with them affectionately calling him Daddy, Uncle andGrandpa. He was gainfully employed as a truck driver, landscaper, and construction worker; finally retiring from Walbart in 2005. He departed this life on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 9:45 P.M. in the comfort of his home with hisniece (Linda Buchanan) and several other family members at his bedside. He was preceded in deathby both wives, Lottie Mae Murray and Margaret Murray; son, Tidus Earl Murray, Sr.; surrogate daughterSarah Eldridge; and surrogate granddaughter, Cozeea Moore. He leaves to cherish his memory: 3 children; Rochelle Murray, Shirley Murray, and Christopher(April) Murray; 2 brothers, Herman Murray and Charles Murray; 12 grandchildren to include ChristianFowler and Daniel Simmons; surrogate grandson, Ronald Wilhite; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 special niecewho was dedicated, faithful, and at his bedside unto the end, Linda Buchanan; and a host of other nieces,nephews, cousins, and friends. .
