Dovie M. Allen

September 23, 1922 — April 27, 2020

In Loving Memory of Doyle Allen was the fifth child born to her parents, the late Robert and Lucy Babbitt on September 23, 1922. Her brothers, James, ftrobett, Bennie Babbitt; sisters, Amanda Nichols, Laverne Babbitt, Nadine Donnell, Linnie C. Reis, Beatrice Cain, Easter Smith and husband, Otis Allen all preceded her in death. Dovie received a hope in Christ at an early age, and joined The Rising Star Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS. She attended the church faithfully, and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. In 1952 she met and married Otis Allen, and they were happily married for 37 years. Dovie worked for Mid-East Meals-On-Wheels until her retirement. She was a loving and joyful mother, sister and friend to many, and was always willing to give and help others. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Raymond (Barbara Allen) Babbitt; grandson, Sean Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Interment: Graveside @ J. B.
