ObituaryDorothy Runnels was born on September 30, 1927 to Dorthula Bowles and Luther Banks. Both parents preceded her in death. She was raised by her loving aunt Annie Blackburn who adopted her and her brother Vernon and raised them along with her two sons, Bennie and Edward Gordon, all of whom have preceded her in death. Dorothy was educated in the Webster Groves School District. She was united in holy matrimony to Charles A. Runnels, Sr. for 63 years. Unto their union, four children were born, CharlesEtta, Doris, Charlotte, and Charles, Jr. She was saved in 1952 and filled with the Noly Ghost under the leadership of Elder Leonard Scales at Douglas Me~orial C.O.G.I.c. Mother Runnels was a faithful member of Douglas Memorial, where she served as the pastor's aid leader. In 1972, Superintendent Emeritus Charles Runnels was appointed pastor of Robertsville Temple C.O.G.I.c. Mother Runnels served faithfully with her companion until his retirement after 31 years of pastoring. Many lives have been blessed through their ministry; Mother Runnels also blessed souls on her secular job, working as a nursing assistant at St. Joseph Nospital in Kirkwood, MO for 27 years. Mother Runnels was described by her husband as his "Precious Priceless .
