Celebrating The Life Of Dorothy Robinson Dorothy Robinson was born in 1930 to Willie Robinson and Deanna Harley in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Dorothy arrived in St. Louis at a young age where she attendedTurner Middle Elementary and Sumner High School. She worked diligently for Wohl Shoe Company in the clerical field for over 20 years, Miss Dorothy, Miss Robinson, orAunt Dottie to some was a faithful member of Emmanuel M.B. Church for may years until her health began to fail. Dorothy provided unwavering service to the Willing Workers andHelping Hand committees, and helped with the crafts for vacation Bible School. She alsowas one of the BEST bakers at Emmanuel, she was known for her chocolate, lemon, pine-apple upside-down cakes and her famous apple jelly cake. Dorothy was also a blessing tothe Jeff Vander Lou neighborhood (JVL) where she lived. She was not only a mother to herkids, but a neighborhood mother as well. October was a special time of year for all of us kids because she would go to Eckert's Farm and pick apples, come home and make THE BESThomemade red candy apples and even if you didn't have your .25 cents, she would give you pieces of the red candy and say "come back later and get a candy apple for free". Dorothyloved to cook and bake and was EXCEPTIONAL AT BOTH. She also passed some of herculinary skills to her children. Dorothy will truly be missed by everyone she touched, and onAugust 18, 2015 she went home to be with the Lord. She leaves behind to cherish in her loving memory: 1 daughter, Diane Herron (RobertIvory); 3 sons, Larry Robinson, Steve Robinson, and Ralph (Marsha) Robinson; grandchildren, Charles E. (Marit Rolland) Herron, Jr., Steve Robinson, Jr., Ashley Renea Robinson, Sean Robinson, Tiffani Robinson, Neal Wilderness, Kory Robinson, LaTrese A. Robinson, DeondreL.
