Tribute

We gather here to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman, an anchor of love and warmth in our lives. Born in the heart of Decatur, Mississippi, she spent 84 years among us, enriching our lives with her unwavering spirit. She was a matriarch in the truest sense, a great mother whose love knew no bounds, a devoted wife whose partnership was a testament to unwavering commitment, a cherished grandmother, and a beloved great-grandmother whose stories will be passed down for generations. Her hands, always busy, were a source of comfort and nourishment, and willingness to help everyone and at the same time be direct and upfront when needed. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like the sizzle of a pan on Sunday morning and the gentle tug of a fish on a line. Her cooking was not just food; it was a tapestry of our family history, each recipe a chapter, each meal a memory etched in our hearts. tier passion for fishing was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of her philosophy of life - patience, resilience.

Today, we bid farewell, we do not say good-bye. Instead, we carry her legacy forward. We will honor her memory by living out the values she instilled in us - love, family, and the joy of life's simple pleasures. Her laughter, her wisdom, her love - it all lingers like the comforting aroma of her kitchen on a Sunday afternoon, like the serene silence of a lake at dawn. She may have left the physical world, but her spirit remains, a guiding light that will continue to lead us through the ebbs and flows of life.

Rest in peace, dear soul. You have given us more than we could ever thank you for, and we are eternally grateful. Your life was a beautiful journey, and though it has come to an end, the stories of your love will forever be told.
