Doris Ann Moore

Life Reflection

Doris Ann Moore was born on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1942 to the late A.C. Blackwell, Sr. and Ruthie Mae Black-well. Doris was preceded in death by two sisters: Evon Barbour, Maxine Whiteside; two brothers, A.C. Blackwell, Jr., Wallace Blackwell; and daughter, Sherry Moore.

Strong in her faith, Doris attended New Covenant full Gospel Church under the late Reverend Roy McGowan.

In earlier years, Doris attended James Milton Turner School. Then Doris went on to graduate from Kirkwood High School. Art was Doris's favorite subject.

Doris married David Moore, Jr. on October 25, 1960. To this union, five children were born.

She was employed for many years at Commerce Bank where she retired.

Doris departed this life on August 31, 2023, to be united with: her husband, David Moore, Jr., her daughter, Sherry Moore and her granddaughter, Shawntel Moore.

She leaves her most precious memories with; her sons, David Moore III, Reginald Moore and Timothy Moore (Kim); her beloved daughter, Paula Moore; eight grandchildren: Shawntel, Tasha, Brandon, Tremaine, Marion, Alviuna (Malik), Alviun and David IV; twelve great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
