May I go ? Do you think the time is right? May I say good-bye to pain filled days and long sleepless nights? I've lived my life and done my best. An example, I tried to be. So, can I take that step beyond and set my spirit free? I didn't want to go at first; I fought with all my might. But something seems to draw me now to a warm and loving light. I want to go, I really do, but I will try as best I can to give you time to Care for me and share your love and fears. I know you're sad and are afraid, because I see your tears. not be far, 1 promise that, and hope you'll always know that my spirit will be close to you. Thank you for loving me, you know I love you too. That's why it's hard to say good-bye and end this life with you. So kiss me now just one more time, and let me hear you say, because you care so much for me, you'll let me go today. Life Reflections Donald Eugene Reed was the seventeenth child born to the union of Artie David Reed, Sr. and Velma Veander Body-Reed, who preceded him in death. He was baptized at Central BaptistChurch in 1948. He graduated from Charles Sumner High School in the Class of 1955. Donald entered into matrimony to the love of his life, Sandra Reed, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by fourteen siblings and one son. He leaves to cherish his memory: one brother William (Consuela) and one sister Dorothy (Ellison) Redmond; two brothers-in-law, Bruce and Waymon: and two sisters-in-law, Francis and Janet (Louis); three children, Floyd, Marthel, and Janet (Lucius) Miles; a special niece and nephew, Cindy and Butch; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
