Life ReflectionsThis is a home going of a soldier in the army of the Lord, a faithful servant. Mr. Donald Hunter was born to the union of Robert and Marvis V. hunter on November 1, 1943 in St. Louis, MO. Ile was the first of six children. Both parents preceded him in death. Donald confessed his belief at an early age. lie joined the Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Fred McDonald, where he was bap-tized. As an adult he joined Saint Luke's AME Church under the leadership of Rev. Claudine E. Murphy where he served in the following ministries, Brothers in Christ, Trustee, Prayer and Bible Study. Donald played a leading role in the Church's Dramatic Presentations. Donald was a graduate of Soldan Nigh School, where he played football and ran track. Later he was drafted into the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War, he received an Honorable Discharge. Later returning home he attended Barber College. Donald developed a very successful Career as a Barber until he retired. He became an avid player of golf in his spare time, and loved his Jazz music. Donald met Ms. Peggie, they were married in May 2007. Their love and devotion for one another lasted until his death. On Saturday, January 7, 2017, Donald answered the Lord's Call and made his transition from labor to reward. He went home to live with God. Donald leaves to mourn: his loving wife, Feggie R. Jones, daughter Donielle Hunter, step-son Ronald Jones, four sisters Marvette Jones, Susan Hunter (Jerry), Renee Hunter-Bean (Anderson), Beverly Hunter, one brother Keith S. hunter (Becky); grandchildren Kylynn, kahgan, Amir, Addison, Micaelia, Taron, Tyrin, Trenton, Trinity; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, friends and church family.
