Diane M Perry

Diane Minerva Massey-Perry was born on January 11, 1949, to Minerva Massey and Douglass Anderson. She entered this world alongside her beloved identical twin sister, Jane Massey-Yandell. After their mother passed away shortly after giving birth, Diane and her sister were lovingly raised by their grandparents, Clifford and Grace Massey. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Minerva Massey and Douglass Anderson; her grandparents, Clifford and Grace Massey; her beloved twin sister, Jane Massey-Yandell; and her brothers, Douglass Anderson.Jr. and Donald Newton.

Diane spent her formative years in Webster Groves, Missouri, where she attended the Webster Groves School District. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church of Webster Groves and later became a devoted member of Old Community Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Eric Hayes.

Faith was the cornerstone of Diane's life. She faithfully planted seeds of God's love in the hearts of her children, encouraging them throughout their lives with the words, "Hold to God's Unchanging Hand." She believed that faith, integrity, and service would carry them through every season of life. Diane was a devoted and intentional mother, PTA President, Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, and steadfast supporter of every opportunity that helped her children grow into confident, compassionate, and responsible adults .

She studied Political Science at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and became a passionate advocate for justice, equality, and civic engagement. As a dedicated supporter of the St. Louis County Branch of the NAACP, she served as an Executive Board Member, Secretary, and Youth Advisor, becoming a fearless voice for civil rights and equal opportunity. Throughout her career, Diane worked for Brown Shoe Company, Rexall Pharmaceuticals, The Real Estate Board of St. Louis, BJC Health, and Harris-Stowe State University, where she was respected for her dedication, intelligence, and compassion .

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Diane peacefully transitioned from labor to reward, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, selfless service, fierce advocacy, and unconditional love. She leaves to cherish her memory: Children: Kayia Baker; Kevin F. Royal (Tina Royal); Keith A. Royal; Bishop H. Perry, Jr.; Christopher D. Perry. Grandchildren: Erington Boyd Qason Boyd), Kevin Royal,Jr.,Jordan Royal, Joshua Royal, and Asia McChesney. Treasured great-granddaughter: Stella jade Boyd. Brother: Keith Anderson. Special companion: Mr. John Davis.

She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, dear friends, and loved ones.
