Devonna Deshauna Felicia Marie Smith

Devonna Deshauna Felicia Marie Smith a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, auntie, cousin and friend, was born on October 30,1989 in Kirkwood, Missouri. She was raised by three loving parents Joyce Smith, Robert and Stacey Thompson. Devonna left her earthly body to enter the heavenly realm November 12, 2024, at the young age of 35.

While her life ended way too soon, Devonna managed to touch the lives of so many along the way. Devonna was a joyous child with an infectious smile and a heart of gold. Her adventurous spirit began early in life and continued to grow and flourish throughout her life, impacting everyone who knew her. Even as a child Devonna had an entrepreneurial spirit, she opened several candy stores and often sought out new creative ways to earn money. Devonna graduated from Kirkwood High School in 2008, where she left her mark on the athletic world.

While in high school, she played softball, volleyball, soccer, basketball and ran track. While Devonna was versatile in so many sports, she excelled at basketball and track and was most recently inducted to Kirkwood High’s Hall of Fame for her achievements. She went on to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Criminal Justice from University of Missouri-St.Louis. Devonna was a photographer, a designer, a writer and a poet. Her creativity and ambition knew no bounds. She was a coach and mentor to others. Devonna was Owner and Creator of See Me I Am Human Too Clothing Co., a brand that focused on acknowledgement, respect and community. Her mission in creating her business was to see people and care for them. Without doubt, her designs and mission will continue to inspire others. Devonna continued to challenge herself in playing flag football and competed in the Guns and Hoses Boxing Ring, she also played with St. Louis Surge Semi-Professional Basketball Team.

Devonna leaves to celebrate her life, her parents Joyce Smith, Stacey Thompson, Robert Thompson (Nikki); grandparents Marian Moore, William Smith, Tumaini, Kathy and Jerry; great grandmother Idean Buckner; siblings Michael Smith, Jordan, Robert and Mya Thompson. She was beloved Auntie Hoopie to little Michael (M2) and Robert (RT5). Her favorite furry family, Riley, Ted, Slim Shady and Kali. Devonna has joined her beloved Godmother, Karla Parker who precedes her in death. Devonna will be forever missed, but incredibly remembered and loved by many.
