Gaston and Robert Luster, Jr. On May 11, 2010, Demitrius went home to be with the Lord. Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents, Mattie and Carlie Williams and Floyd Gaston, Sr., aunts, Carletta and Germaine Williams, and uncle, Curtis Williams. Demitrius was a freshman at Riverview Gardens Migh School. Me enjoyed playing basketball, football, and listening to his i-Pod. Demitrius also played for the Spanish Lake Titans for 2 years. Demitrius was a lovable child who went above and beyond for others. If anything needed to be fixed Demitrius was there to lend a helping hand. Me united with Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church at the age of eight and was baptized under the pastorate of Reverend Michael Jones, Sr. Demitrius was known to family and friends as Meechi, Big Meech and Heavy D. Demitrius leaves with cherishable memories: his devoted mother, Temeka (Marquis) Gaston; father, Robert Luster, Jr.; four brothers, Montez and Mike'l Patterson, Marquis Patterson, Jr. and Robert Luster III; three sisters, Marketa Patterson, Kysa and Taylor Luster; grandmother, Patricia (Cortez) Miller; grandfather, Floyd J. Gaston, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Robert (Janie) Luster, Sr. step-grandmother, Linda Patterson; great-grandmother, Florence Sims; step-great-grandmother, Christine Patterson; 3 aunts, 10 uncles, 10 great-aunts, 7 great-uncles, as well as a host of great-great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. - Acknowledgment - The Family of Demitrius Cortez Gaston wish to express our sincere appreciation for the many acts of kindness extended to us through your prayers, cards, telephone calls, floral arrangements and other courtesy provided during our hour 01 bereavement.
