Life Reflection

David Orlando Whitfield born September 22, 1987 in St. Louis, MO. Known lovingly as " Davy Baby ", "III Bucks" or for being his "father's twin". David was the most loving, giving, God-fearing, always very upbeat and positive, no matter what was going on in his day. No one was a stranger to David as he always said hello and asked you how your day was. Everyone that knew him loved him! he would give you the shirt off his back and his last penny.

David always had a Bible in his hand or very close by. David loved to talk about God. Grace Church was a big part of his childhood as his morn took David and his brothers all the time Although some people don't think of church as being fun, but because of how they made learning about God fun for them is what kept him intrigued and faith filled. he loved pizza, music, singing, dancing, laughing, movies, and astronomy.

He had asthma his entire life, and as a child, he was in and out of the hospital so much that the nurses knew his name and looked forward to him being there, and so did he. They spoiled him as if he was their own son by letting him play his favorite video games anytime he wanted, and eat his favorite snacks.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents Ruby and Lewis Patterson, Sr.

He leaves to mourn: his mother, Sandra Patterson; father, Craig Whitfield (Tracy); brothers, Darren Patterson and Kevin Whitfield; Derrick and Xayvion Whitfield, Xayvion, Carrie and Ndea Collins Whitfield, Brendon Mckinnis, Traveon Green, Aries Coleman, Hunter Coleman Whitfield, and James Ruffin; niece, Unique Patterson; nephew, Darren Patterson, Jr.; aunts, Wanda Patterson and Linda Classe (Henry); uncles, Lewis (Annemarie) Patterson, Jr. and Ned Patterson; cousins, Tammi Brasfield (Mike), Glenn, Alvin and Dana Scott, Cathy and Ann Classe, Bryan (Jessica) and Christopher (Ashley) Patterson, Stephanie Scroggins (Brad), Jordan and SaraAnn Patterson, Danielle Harper, Stephen, Vanessa, Xavier and Natasha Brasfield, Glenn Jr. and Randi Scott, Bryan Jr., Elijah, Isiah, Samuel and Brooklyne Patterson, Lailah, Leeah and Livia Patterson, Cali Scroggins; Stephen Jr., Aniyla, Aurora and Adonis Brasfield. Also a host of other family friends.

We will all deeply miss David's smile and genuine kind-hearted nature and laugh that would make the whole room laugh. He is truly heaven's newest shining star and light that will shine down on all of us.
