David James Shields

Life Reflection

David James Shields , was born September 11, 1960 in Memphis Tennessee to Veria Lee Shields -Bell. David moved to Kirkwood Missouri in 1962 with his mother and siblings where he attended Turner Grade School. Later David attended Kings High School where he played varsity basketball in his freshmen year and played baseball. He graduated from Kings High School in Saint Louis MO in 1980.

David accepted the Lord into his life when he was in his 40s . David passion was playing basketball, he loved to film family gatherings, and record mix tapes for others. David was such a loving person very quiet, soft spoken, and patient; he lived a simple life. He loved doing things for others and cared deeply for his family and loved ones. David would give you his last, he would drop everything to come to help you.

David was preceded in death by his grand parents/ James & Fannie Shields, his mother/ Veria Bell, brother/Herbert Shields and niece Talicia. David leaves to cherish in his memory a sister/Ada M.Bellard (San Antonio), a brother Pearley Montgomery (Shirley), in law Retha Shields one aunt/Ora Berry (Paul), one uncle/ Floyd Shields (Therse). Nephews & Nieces: Domerl Rodney, Malinda, Latrisha, Daniel, Angel, Toni, a host of Great Nieces, Nephews and cousins.
