Remembering David The ability to witness the transformative life of another individual is truly a blessing.Family members of David Harding have been granted with this opportunity. From the humble beginnings in Oakland, CA to the many academic, professional and spiritualaccolades received in St. Louis, MO, David served as a true representtion of a lifewell lived surrounded by these he loved.David was born in Oakland, CA to Peggie DeLois McKinney and Monzell Harding, Sr., onJuly 24, 1955. He was the first of a set of twins. Peggie eventually remarried to ArchieLee Lyles. Archie Lee loved and raised David and his sibblings as his own. Under theaffectionate guidance of Peggie ad Archie Lee, David graduated from Castlemont HighSchool in May 1973. Shortly after graduation he married the love of his life, Debbie Allen. Struck with the newfound responsibility of providing for a young wife and newborn daughter, David was hired at General Motors Company (GM). Six years later, David and his familyrelocated to St. Louis, MO, where he would reside until his departure from Earth's physicalplane.While in St. Louis, MO. David attended Maryville University to receive both his Bachelor'sand Master's Degree. The pinnacle of his academic achievement occured when he receivedhis Doctorate from Lyell Christian College. His major of Theology with an emphasis in SocialWork aligned with his deep-seated connection to God and his own sobriety of 26 years.David connected with God under the leadership of Pastor Matthew Ferguson of Abundant LifeFellowship Church (ALF). While attending ALF, David graced the ears of church goers as heplayed various percussion instruments with the church band.Having worked, lived, and loved in St. Louis for may years David retured from GM in 2007.From that point on, he devoted his life to loving his wife and spending and abundance of timewith his grandchildren.David is survived by his wife, Debbie, daughters Dionna, Deloris, Dana and Gloria (Andrew) Mills, brothers Monzell, Russell and Ross Lyles, twin sister Denise, grandchildren Daisy, Lily, and Jude,as well as a myriad of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.Interment:Lake Charles Park7775 St. Charles Rock RoadSt. Louis, MO 63114 .
