Corena Morrow-Moody

Life's Reflections Corena (Morrow) Moody, 94 of Providence gained her wings Feb. 7, 2017 in Madisonville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband Orgetorix Moody and her Parents the late Richard Morrow Nannie (Brooks) Morrow, Brother Richard Lee Morrow & Sister Rochelle Morrow. She is survived by her Son Lee Willard Moody of Providence, nephew Steven Mon-ow (Shelia), grandnieces Jessica Mon-ow, Anse Morrow, Wei Lu Cen, grandnephew Warren Daniel, special cousins Cherrie Reynolds, Sonja Collins, Ann Scott, Barbara Ducksworth, cousins Calbert Brooks & Francis Brooks, the Morrow family & a host of cousins & friends. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm with services at 7pm in the Chapel at Jones Kirby Funeral Home in Providence. There will also be a visitation 9am l lam Friday at Unity Baptist Church with service at I lam in Kirkwood, Mo. with burial to follow in the Jefferson Barracks Veterans Cemetery in St. Louis. Corena Moody had a list of accomplishments during her life. She graduated valedictorian at Rosenwald High School in 1941. She worked for Mammoth Life Insurance Company. She was appointed KY Col. by Gov. Steve Beshear. Corena was also choir director (youth & senior) at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Providence, KY and also choir director /organist at Unity Baptist Church in Kirkwood, MO. Along with administrator at Thompson Retreat & Conference Center in Creve Coeur, MO. She was also a member of Eastern Star. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 4 to 7pm with services at 7pm in the Chapel atJones Kirby Funeral Home in Providence with Services at Unity Baptist Church in Kirkwood, MO on Friday,February 17th at 11am with burial to follow.Interment:J.B.
