Life ReflectionsClydie Bell Barmore (Nee Atkins), the daughter of the late Walter C. and Mattie Atkins was born February 28, 1946 in St. Louis, MO. She received her education in st. Louis completing Elementary and High Schools and two years of College. Clydie was one of the babies born and reared in Christ Holiness Temple where she accepted Christ and served in youth activities and Choir. She was united in holy matrimony to Alfred D. Brown. Two children were born to this union. He preceded her in death. Clydie was employed by the City of St. Louis as Account Clerk II from 1966 to 1999, when she retired. She was married to John Bannore. Although there were no children born to this union, there were a host of children who loved her and she was affectionately called "Mama and Diva". Clydie reared her two grandchildren with much love, patience and dedication. She spread her love everywhere it was needed, especially with children. Clydie will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew her. She departed this life on Sunday morning, September 15, 2013. Her parents and two brothers, David and Arnold Atkins, preceded her in death. She leaves with cherished memories: one daughter, Carmen E. Brown, st. Louis, MO; one son, Alford K. Brown, Los Angeles, CA; stepmother, Maxine Atkins, Centreville, IL; one sister, Pamela Stephenson (Joseph); three brothers, Rahiah Rashad (Renee), Maineville, OH, Ali Atkins (Bashirah) St. Peters, MO and Michael Atkins, Los Angeles, CA; two grandchildren, Justin and Lauryn Brown, St. Louis, MO; uncle, Marcellars Moore (Rita), St. Louis, MO; aunts, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins; a Special friend, Earnest Pleasant, St. Louis, MO.
