Obituary Christine was born on May 23, 1912 to Jim and Vinnie (Booker) Walker in the state of Louisiana. She was the 5th of 8 siblings. The family settled in Marianna, Arkansas. She met and married and was the loving mother of 8 children. During a time in the country where the economic structure was at it's worst she held onto her faith and called on the Lord to help provide for her children. Christine loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, and might. She instilled sanctified living in her children and taught them from an early age to serve the Lord with all their heart, mind, and strength. She eventually moved to St. Louis, MO in the 1960's to be near her children. She became a faithful member of Kennerly Temple COGlC until a stroke rendered her confined to Northshore, and then Parkside Towers Nursing Homes from 1990 until she was called home. One thing you could never forget was her down home cooking. She made a mean sweat potato pie, and even made brussel sprouts taste good. When she really wanted to get your attention, she'd say, "Now Listen"-then she'd tell you how it really was. Everyone who knew her, loved her-down to her baby toenails! We even clipped a fewnothing like a pedicure from a grandchild. Even into her 90's she had baby soft skin. She truly loved traveling as far as Melbourne, Florida and especially Marianna, Arkansas to see her family. She was proceeded in death by her parents Jim and Vinnie Walker, husbands Clarence Morris Sr., Ed Cooper, Frank Smith, and Elder Burnett, her seven siblings Mary Liza, Willie, Estella, Mattie, Ella, Mary Francis, and Jim; her two daughters Pearline Baldwin and Evelyn Moore; four sons Clarence Jr., Freddie, Jessie, and Frankie Lee Smith; grandsons Freddie Morris and Roy Jones; granddaughter Gloria Starr; great-grandchildren, Jessie Morris 3rd, DeAndrea Morris and Victoria Morris. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory two sons Robert Morris, and Lee Otis Smith of St. Louis, MO; 34 grandchildren, close to 100 great grandchildren and scores of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
