Life Reflections Charles Williams, born on June 24, 1937, wsa the seventh child born to Ruth Williams and five other siblings, Clyde, Robert, Alfred, Annie and Willester preceded him in death. Charles attended the Saint Louis Public Schools and graduated from Vashon High School in 1955. Some time after graduation he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. After serving two years, he received an honorable discharge in September of 1958. Following his discharge, he was employed with various companies. He retired from Merck after 25 years of service. Charles enjoyed his hobbies. He was gifted when it came to making various crafts that adorned his home. H e enjoyed photography, videography and film development. When it came to needing a particular family photo, his family knew they could go to him. Another hobby he enjoyed was garage sales. For many years, this was the way he spent Saturday mornings. He would often find furniture and whatnots that he would take home, refurbish and display around his home. Charles quietly passed away on Tuesday, July 14, at 1:38 a.m. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy (John) McNair; one daughter, Marsha Robinson; one son, Lawrence Chavis; four grandchildren; sixteen great-great granchildren; a personal friend, Sara Brown, and a host of nieces, and nephews. Charles is dearly loved by his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.
